COVID-19 RESPONSE
When times are tough, we need steady leadership. It is my honor to serve as Morrisville’s leader and to represent you at this critical time for our town, region, nation and world.
No one expected this past year to be so challenging, but our staff continues core operations uninterrupted and rapidly adjusts town operations, recreational programs and other procedures to keep our residents and businesses safe.
In 2020, I was elected President of the Wake County Mayors Association. I led important conversations and decisions among the mayors of our 12 municipalities about pandemic safety and consistent protocols throughout the county to minimize virus spread. For the first time in years, the mayors chose to re-elect a president for a second term, and I humbly accepted their confidence in my ability to continue to lead this association and coordinate with Wake County leaders as we navigate the vaccine distribution process and return to “normalcy” in 2021.
